FAQs
Whether you're considering your child's first goalkeeper session or looking for advanced training opportunities, our FAQs provide answers to the questions parents ask most about our programs, coaching, scheduling, and what to expect at Just Keepers Academy.
How is JKA different from team goalkeeper training?
JKA is designed exclusively for goalkeepers, focusing on technique, footwork, decision-making, and game-real situations that team training cannot provide.
How are keepers grouped during sessions?
Keepers are grouped by age, experience, and ability so each player is challenged appropriately.
What should I expect from the coaching style?
Coaching is positive, direct, and detail-oriented. Mistakes are part of development, while effort and focus are expected.
Is this training only for elite goalkeepers?
No. We work with goalkeepers at all experience levels. Sessions are designed to challenge each keeper appropriately while building confidence and skill.
Is training intense?
Training is structured, competitive, and purposeful. We believe goalkeepers improve best when challenged in a positive and supportive environment.
Will my child get individual feedback?
Yes. We intentionally limit group sizes so each goalkeeper receives individual coaching and attention during every session.
What age groups do you train?
We train youth goalkeepers across multiple age groups. Sessions and expectations are adjusted to be age appropriate.
What if my child makes mistakes?
Mistakes are part of development and are expected. Our coaches focus on effort, learning, and growth rather than perfection.
How often should my goalkeeper train?
Consistency is key. Many goalkeepers train once or twice per week depending on age, experience. and individual goals.
What happens during goalkeeper camps?
Our camps provide intensive goalkeeper training featuring technical development, game situations, competitions, and fun activities designed to improve confidence and performance.
